PEQ V
Programmable, Digital Equalizer:
The programmable equalizer PEQ V provides the highest quality
reproduction of aurally-accurate recordings.
Two headphone outputs, for the direct connection of dynamic
headphones (e.g. HD IV.1, HD IV.2), can be calibrated independently
of each other. Both data transmission and remote control are
conveniently handled via a single cable.
Via USB the PEQ V is directly connected with a notebook or PC.
A digital sound card is not necessary for the playback with HEAD
acoustics software.
The PEQ V is equally suited for stationary and mobile operation as it can
be powered either by a car battery or by its external power
adapter.

Subwoofer HSW
Subwoofer with power amplifier for high quality playback

The HEAD subwoofer that is especially suitable for high-quality playback in
a vehicle environment.
For example, to perform true-to-original playback of vehicle noise in
a SoundCar from HEAD acoustics, it is necessary to include low-frequency
airborne sound components for playback of an acoustic driving scenario.
That way, the sound balance is as realistic as possible and thus provides a solid basis for the subjective evaluation of the driving noise. This is ensured by the HSW II.1, which can be easily installed in the trunk thanks to its comparatively compact dimensions.
In combination with the high performance power amplifier the HSW II.
1 forms an optimal playback system.

The HEADphone Distribution Amplifier HDA IV is a high quality headphone distribution amplifier for the connection of several headphones which is available in two versions:
• HDA IV.1 (Code 2488) for the simultaneous connection of up to
..four dynamic headphones
• HDA IV.2 (Code 2489) for the simultaneous connection of up to
..eight dynamic headphones
HDA IV can be cascaded to increase the number of available headphones
to more than four or even eight headphones.
For an aurally-accurate playback of a recording, HDA IV is used
in combination with the programmable equalizer PEQ V and the
dynamic headphones HD IV.1.

SoundCar
Multidimensional sound playback in a real vehicle:
Many years of experience with binaural high-quality recordings in
the vehicle cabin have shown that for true-to-original playback it is
not sufficient to provide only the airborne sound components
via headphones in an arbitrary environment.
In particular, people that are not specialists in the area of acoustics
have difficulties to place the sounds they are hearing into the
proper context.
The solution is the multidimensional playback in the SoundCar. Sound
files are listened to in a real vehicle environment.
Not only the acoustical but also the vibration aspect of the
sound perception is taken into account. The required hardware
for playback and controlling the system is mounted into the
engine compartment of the vehicle (with the engine removed).
